Salt chlorination & pool heating
Softer water, less handling of chlorine, a longer swimming season: we help you choose and install the right equipment.
Salt chlorination systems
A salt chlorinator generates chlorine from salt dissolved in the water, reducing chemical handling and giving pleasant water. It is a popular choice for people who are sensitive or allergic to chlorine tablets: no more tablets or powders to store and handle, steady chlorine production that keeps chloramines down (the cause of the chlorine smell, red eyes and skin irritation), and slightly salty water that feels softer on skin and hair.

Frequently asked questions
Is a salt chlorinator suitable if I am allergic to chlorine?
It is often the best option. A salt system still produces chlorine, but continuously and in the right amount: no tablets to handle, and fewer chloramines, which are the real cause of stinging eyes, irritation and the chlorine smell. Properly balanced (especially pH), it makes swimming much more comfortable for sensitive people.
Can an existing pool be converted to salt?
In most cases, yes. We check your system is compatible before making a proposal.
Which heat pump should I choose?
Output depends on volume, exposure, the months you want to swim and whether you use a cover. We work it out with you.
Does a salt system mean no maintenance?
No. It simplifies treatment, but water balance (especially pH) and cell cleaning are still needed.
